Geoff Bunn: The Unfound work
The British artist Geoff Bunn took 27 ordinary, everyday objects, marked them in different ways and then placed them somewhere. These objects, of which only 5 or 6 have so far been found, are still out there. Somewhere. If you find one of them, it is yours....
For the record, these 27 objects are known as his ‘Unfound’ work.

How to find the Unfound work
Sadly this is not so easy. These are artistic needles in a global haystack. Fortunately Bunn issues Clues as to their nature, their whereabouts and so on...

The Clues
In his studio Bunn “produces” a Clue. It may be a document, a painting, a tin can, an old TV set, anything. Anything at all. Once he has produced enough Clues to explain what and where one of the Unfound pieces is, he photographs that particular ‘set’ of Clues. And then he releases the photograph. If one is good at solving riddles, one can decipher this photgraph and, maybe, find one of Bunn’s unfound pieces.
Collecting Bunn's work
There are three things you can collect of Bunns:
Firstly, you can try and find one of the 27 Unfound pieces. (And good luck to you!)
Secondly, you can collect the photographs (of the Clues). These are not strictly speaking valuable in themselves. (Well, maybe the original is). But they are easy to collect (just go the official website!) and, once downloaded and enlarged, make a good picture for the wall!
Thirdly, and for most people this is perhaps more interesting and more practical than trying to find one of the Unfound pieces, you can try to collect one of the Clues themselves. How so? Well, believe it or not, Bunn sometimes gives signed Clues to people who ask. (Other times he donates a Clue to a gallery or organisation to help fundraise). And so on. OK, OK, so I’ve asked. And I haven’t been given one but it’s always worth a try.
